Due to actions taken by their state lawmakers, Texas has somewhat of a reputation as being a conservative backwater, filled with damnation and bigotry. So, the folks at ABC decided to see if everyday, non-zillionaire Texans shared the beliefs of many of their leaders, and they were surprised to discover just what happened when a scenario was set up involving gay families being abused in a restaurant.
Watch and cry at what happens. Humanity is a state of mind, not a location.
Thanks for the post. I really enjoyed the video. Being from Texas myself I find this assumption that all Texans are a certain way to be very annoying. While we are a red state the blue minority is not a small pond but closer to almost half of the voting state. At the polls, like in many other states, the Republicans only win by a small percentage (like 1-2%). Of course, a person's political stance doesn't define who they are as a person. Texas has a thriving economy that people flock to from all sectors of life, coming from diverse backgrounds. Texans come in all sizes, shapes & colors.
