Cochrane, Ontario hosts an event that can only be described as strange, and this year the Great Western Outhouse Races were canceled due to lack of money and participants.
Last year the races run by Katie Peace, who owns an outhouse store, were amongst the best ever with people showing up in costumes, but this year, no go. Oddly, outhouse racing is not as rare as it seems, and although the Cochrane races were amongst the longest-running before they crapped out, other places do celebrate the Sultans of Shitters.
